Hi! I’m Jenelle.
I’m an introverted, artsy, creative type based in sunny California. I’m a woman of faith, married to my best friend, & a mom to fraternal twin boys.
I love designing, photography, baking, crafting, writing, drawing, home decor… if it’s creative, I’m into it & I love sharing what I create.
I’m addicted to coffee brewed with cinnamon, the smell of vanilla & coconut, singing Taylor Swift at the top of my lungs in the car, cottagecore/farmhouse decor, & riding Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland over & over.
Before becoming a mom, I worked as a fraud investigator for a local credit union. I had been doing that for almost 5 years and was burnt out without any opportunities for advancement other than management.
I had always wanted to be a stay-at-home mom and by God’s grace we were in a position that allowed me to continue to be home after my maternity leave ran out.
I emailed my notice and never looked back,
About a year into motherhood, my former boss reached out to me with an opportunity to earn a little diaper money. I was hired as a free-lance technical writer for another credit union where I could make my own hours.
Though it was a great opportunity, I found it difficult to fully commit to the job. Even when I was working my mind was still elsewhere.
But I loved writing, formatting, and creating.

Back in 2021 after leaving my technical writing job, I started a blog called For the Love Of Two as a postpartum creative outlet.
They say write what you know, so I posted about raising twins because that was my entire life at the time (they were just over 18 months then). I shared the details of our daily life along with tips I learned along the way.
Sadly, it never really took off but I learned A LOT.
It turns out the majority of running a successful blog is creating beautiful graphics, taking gorgeous photos, building/fostering an email list, & marketing on other platforms to drive traffic. I spent so much time designing logos, banners, featured images, infographics, Pinterest pins, Instagram content, curating flatlays & photographing other complementary photos.
I loved it.
After taking a break to regroup & find new inspiration, I took a leap of faith and registered for a business license. Steele Magnolia Creative LLC was born.
The first thing I did was open my Etsy shop, Ink Loves Tees.
I combined my passion for graphic design with my love of simple graphic tees to create affordable tops for moms like me. I wanted designs that were different from what everyone else was doing but still relevant.
I was inspired to bring back the blog after getting a message from a fellow twin mom on Instagram asking for some advice on weaning her twins. It was then I remembered why I started the blog in the first place, to help other twin mamas.
I wasn’t able to just refer her to my post anymore because I had taken down my old website after not posting for over a year.
Word Loves Screen is a place where I can share about twin motherhood, mental health, and being a women outside of motherhood.
Beautiful photos have long been an important part of marketing and business. Running a blog was no different.
I spent many hours curating perfect flatlay photos to use for each post, along with shooting lifestyle photos of the boys and dabbling in nature photography.
Though I could purchase stock photos online and do buy my mockups for my Etsy shop (because I’m not a model), I enjoy photography, especially as an art form. I may explore selling them as stock photos in the future, but for now it’s just a hobby I enjoy sharing.
